Revitalizing Infrastructure: NFTA Rail Renewal to transform transit landscape

The Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority announces upcoming service adjustments for the Metro Rail system from March 30 to April 3, 2024, impacting several stations along the line.

**March 30-31: Single Tracking **

On March 30 and 31, NFTA Metro Rail will implement single tracking between Fountain Plaza and Canalside stations. Riders will be required to transfer at Church.

**April 1-2: Station Closures and Limited Service**

From April 1 to 2 Above ground stations will be closed. However, a bus shuttle service will be available at Allen Station for trips between Allen and Canal Side stations.

**April 3: Single Tracking on Outbound Track**

April 3- until Fall 2024, Metro Rail will single track on the outbound track between Fountain Plaza and Canalside stations. Trains will travel in both directions. Inbound (to university) platforms will be closed at Fountain Plaza, Evans Bank/ Lafayette Square, Church, Seneca, and Canalside stations. Riders are requested to transfer at Church Station.

Additionally, riders with mobility devices are advised to board the last rail cart when traveling inbound from any underground station.

The NFTA appreciates the understanding and cooperation of its riders as these necessary adjustments are made to ensure the continued safety and efficiency of the Metro Rail system.
