Having grown up in Western New York, I am aware of the expectations, and trust that our community holds our public service agencies accountable. The Airport Fire Department is ready 24/7/365 to maintain safety and security at the highest level possible with integrity and pride at our airport.
We are a well-equipped Fire Department with the resources needed to provide essential services for life safety, property conservation, and environmental protection at the award-winning Buffalo Airport. Our department is an all-hazard, all-risk fire service agency, able to respond to, manage, and bring to a safe result just about any incident that may occur at the airport and surrounding areas.
Our team is excited about the future of our organization. The Buffalo Niagara International Airport is essential to our community and our Fire Department is here when you need our services. You can count on us to respond quickly, efficiently, and effectively for your safety and the well being of our community.
Founded in 1981, our mission is to provide state-of-the-art fire rescue services to the passengers, employees and visitors of the Buffalo Niagara International Airport. We are an elite team of fire fighters who are proud to support the entire Western New York Community. Our duties include mitigation of, and response to, structural and aircraft fires, as well as response to medical emergencies, fuel spills, incidents of terrorism, hazardous materials spills, bio-chemical threats, radiological exposures, and natural disasters.
