Dok and Timmi, along with their handlers Officer Mario Capozzi and Officer Mike Bogulski, will join a nationwide task force of law enforcement teams to ensure the safety of players, fans , and staff at one of the world’s premiere sporting events.
“This is a tremendous honor for our team,” said NFTA K-9 Lieutenant Lauren Zani.
“The Super Bowl represents one of the largest security operations in the country and our officers are ready to bring their unique skills to this event.”
These four-legged officers are part of the NFTA’s elite K-9 unit, which specializes in explosive detection and public safety. Their selection to assist in security operations at the Super Bowl highlights the exceptional training and professionalism of the NFTA’s K-9 program.
Both officers are well versed in Super Bowl security with Capozzi working the 2021 Tampa game and Bogulski serving detail in 2019 in Atlanta and 2022 in LA. The officers say they are hoping this time around the Buffalo Bills will join them!
