NFTA Unveils Veterans Day Bus
BUFFALO, N.Y. - The Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority (NFTA) debuted its Veterans Day Bus on Thursday, November 6th, a moving tribute honoring the courage, service, and sacrifice of Western New York’s veterans. Titled “Salute to Service,” the bus will travel throughout the region as a year-round symbol of gratitude and remembrance.
The unveiling took place at the NFTA’s downtown office with speakers including NFTA leadership and local veterans. The event also featured special recognition of NFTA employees who have served in the armed forces.
“The Veterans Day Bus reflects our enduring appreciation for those who have served our nation,” said Kim Minkel, NFTA Executive Director. “It is both a thank-you and a reminder that their dedication continues to move our community forward.”
The bus’s patriotic design was created by NFTA employee Sean Fitzpatrick, who proudly served in the military, bringing a heartfelt tribute to the project.
