NFTA Announces New Reflection Room at Buffalo Niagara International Airport
The Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority (NFTA) marked the official opening of the Reflection Room at Buffalo Niagara International Airport on Wednesday, August 28th. This serene space was created to offer travelers a peaceful environment for quiet reflection, meditation, or prayer.
"The NFTA is committed to enhancing the travel experience at Buffalo Niagara International Airport," said NFTA Executive Director Kim Minkel. "The Reflection Room is a significant addition, providing a quiet haven for those seeking tranquility amidst the hustle and bustle of travel."
The event, attended by Congressman Tim Kennedy, Pastor Rosetta Swain, NFTA officials, and community leaders, featured remarks highlighting the importance of this new space.
“For many, air travel can be a stressful time, and this Reflection Room can offer an oasis of peace for those who need a moment to pray and collect their thoughts,” said Congressman Tim Kennedy. “During my time as a State Senator, I worked with Majority Leader Peoples-Stokes, Pastor Mark Blue, Pastor Rosetta Swain, and the leadership of the NFTA to make this idea a reality. Thank you to all whose hard work went into creating this calming space, and I hope that it provides much-needed respite for travelers for years to come.”

Following the speeches, the event culminated in a tour of the Reflection Room. The room, designed with calming décor and comfortable seating, is open to all passengers. It also includes resources for various spiritual practices, accommodating the diverse needs of the traveling public.
