A Vision for Tomorrow
Award-winning local artist, Jalen Law, was joined by his family and community leaders to reveal his thought-provoking mural on the walls of the Portage Road Transportation Center last week. The eye-catching mural brightens up the Transportation Center, which can be seen by riders, residents, and city visitors.
Law is hopeful that the mural will spark conversation, connection, and pride in the Niagara Falls area. While creating the artwork, Law said, "I had a lot of conversations with visitors about art, and it almost always turned into something deeper. It was a great opportunity to connect with the community.”
Law said he also created an interactive element within the piece -- a QR code that viewers can scan to provide feedback.
Law looks forward to seeing how his artwork impacts the great people of Niagara Falls and those who use the Transportation Center on a regular basis. It really helps transcend the area and will leave a lasting impression on those who view it.
