Current Traffic Conditions
THE 290 WEST IS NOW SLOW FOR MORE THAN A MILE BEFORE THE 190 MERGE.
THERE IS A DISABLED VEHICLE ON THE INBOUND 33 AT GRIDER ON THE RIGHT SHOULDER.
THE NORTHBOUND SOUTH GRAND ISLAND BRIDGE RE-OPENED A BIT LATE AT 6:15 THIS MORNING...IT WILL CLOSE AGAIN TONIGHT AT 8.

Construction Delays
SB Niagara Falls Blvd to 290 East: The entrance ramp from Southbound Niagara Falls Blvd to the 290 east has been REOPENED!!!! Delays still possible, construction work continues in the general area.
290 East Ramp to Southbound Niagara Falls Blvd: The 290 East exit ramp to Southbound Niagara Falls Blvd has been re-opened !
Inbound Route 5 Ramp to Tifft Street: Til further notice, the ramp from Inbound Route 5 to Tifft Street is closed for construction.
Northbound South Grand Island Bridge: Sundays through Thursdays from 8pm til 6am the Northbound South Grand Island Bridge will be closed & traffic will be diverted to the Northbound South Bridge,where you'll have one lane in each direction, causing delays. In addition,when the Northbound bridge span is closed, the ramps from Grand Island Boulevard & South State Parkway to the 190 South will be closed as well.
Audubon Parkway: Audubon Parkway has been re-opened in Amherst from Hamilton to Frontier on the U.B. North campus. It was closed for construction of a roundabout (traffic circle) at Audubon Parkway & Lee for the last couple months.
290 West at the 190: Through November, the 290 West tapers from 3 lanes down to 2, & the ramps to the 190 North & South are both reduced to a single lane. Expect severe delays at peak travel times. In addition, the ramp from the 190 South to the 290 East is down to a single lane & the connector ramp from Sheridan Drive/Kenmore Avenue to the 190 North is closed completely.
Michigan Avenue: Michigan Avenue has been re-opened in both directions from North to Best...this puts Metro's #8B Main Street buses back on regular route.
Grand Island Blvd: 7am to 5:30pm weekdays, lane restrictions in all directions at the intersection of Grand Island Boulevard & Staley Road on Grand Island for the construction of a roundabout (traffic circle)will cause severe delays through November! While this project is going on, trucks traveling on the 190 North are prohibited from exiting at Grand Island Boulevard (exit 18) & must proceed to Whitehaven Road(exit 19). A right turn at the exit will take you to Grand Island Boulevard.
Lasalle Expressway/190: The Ramp from the Westbound LaSalle Expressway to the 190 South will be closed till further notice due to construction. This will also keep the 190 South exit ramp to LaSalle Expressway closed in Niagara Falls. A detour will be posted.
190 South, Just Past the 198: Til further notice, there is a new traffic pattern on the 190 South at the site of the former Blackrock Tolls, where traffic is briefly shifted to the right. Reduce your speed to 45 MPH & use caution through the construction zone.
