Niagara USA

(these are not the trolleys that run through Niagara Falls State Park)

Trolley Route 55T serves Niagara Falls Blvd., Pine Ave. and downtown Niagara Falls USA. Guests of participating hotels ride free all day, including transfers to Metro Bus or Metro Rail. Trolley Day Passes are available at participating hotel registration desks. Day Passes are valid for use on the date punched by the Metro operator. (Other valid Metro passes can also be used on the 55T Trolley.) Passengers without a Trolley Day Pass from a hotel may use the service for $1.75 per ride, which can be paid upon boarding. Children ages 5-11, senior citizens (age 65+), disabled and Medicare card holders with valid I.D. pay 75 cents. Exact change is required on trolleys and buses.

Route 55T service is offered everyday from June-September. Service will be offered weekends only May 14-31 and October 1-11 (including Memorial Day and Columbus Day). Trolleys operate from 9 a.m. until Midnight. Stops are indicated with Route 55T signs as shown on the map.

  • Trolley Day Passes are also valid on regular Metro Route 55 buses which run between downtown Niagara Falls and hotels/motels along Pine Ave and Niagara Falls Blvd.
  • Trolley stops closest to the Falls and State Reservation are on Rainbow Blvd. at Michael O’Laughlin Dr. and near Old Falls St.
  • For return trips to the Niagara Falls Blvd. hotels/motels board 55T trolleys at any of the downtown stops. Returning trolleys will have a ‘Niagara Falls Airport’ destination sign in the front window. Ask the trolley operator if you are not sure
  • A regular Metro bus maybe substituted for a trolley bus on occasion. Look at the route sign on the front of the bus. If it reads 55T PINE AVE and 55T TROLLEY, it is a bus running a trolley bus route.
