Metro Passes are valid for unlimited riding in one calendar month. Metro Passes are sold according to the zones in which they are valid. Regular boarding and/or zone changes will apply when a Metro Pass is presented in zones outside the zone(s) for which the pass is valid. There are four zones in the Metro System.

Regular boarding and/or zone charges apply when a Metro Pass is presented in zones outside the designated zone for which the Pass is valid.

Passes are on sale and available from the 24th of each month, to the 5th, at nearly 100 convenient outlets, including participating Tops Friendly Markets, Wilson Farms, Dash Markets, B-Kwiks, and the Metropolitan Transportation Center at 181 Elliott Street in Buffalo. If the applicant must be accompanied by a personal care aide in order to travel, this must also be verified by one of the above agencies or healthcare professionals.

Once your disability has been verified, an Acceptance for Reduced Fare Benefits Letter will be sent to you. This letter, along with $2.00 and proof of identity must be brought to the Reduced Fare Photo I.D. site. Proof of identity may include:
