Description of Duties

Works under the direction of the Operations Manager. Performs necessary maintenance on facilities and grounds, including marina dock installation and removal, and keeping docks in good repair.

Typical Assignments

Perform design, layout, and construction of new projects. Assist with carpentry maintenance, repair and construction, grounds maintenance, preparation and application. Make recommendations regarding material, specifications, and application procedures as required. Make necessary minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and grounds repairs. Operate light and heavy equipment such as forklifts, front-end loaders, snow plows and dump trucks. Operate work barge, crane on work barge, workboat, weed harvester, operate pipe threader, and/or other marine equipment as necessary. Perform normal maintenance functions such as welding, burning, grinding, roofing, glazing, landscaping, cleaning, and painting with specialized paints. Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to operate lawn tractor, lawn mowers. Ability and willingness to climb and work from ladders. Ability and willingness to operate watercraft and work on water in all types of weather utilizing proper safety equipment. Demonstrated proficiency in maintenance trade. Ability to read, write, and understand technical specifications, instructions, diagrams and drawings as they pertain to electrical work.

Minimum Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent. General maintenance and marina construction experience preferred. Must possess and maintain a valid NYS driver’s license.

Physical Requirements

Requires approximately 20% lifting heavy-duty electrical wire from dock trays on/off spools. Extreme balance is required to assist working on the work barge and floating docks. Must be able to swim. Must be physically able to assist crane operator with hooking and guiding steel/wood docks both on land and water weighing up to 3000 lbs. Must be physically fit to wear respirators.

Environmental Requirements

Requires capability of performing essential job functions in both indoor and outdoor environments in all weather conditions, heat, smoke, dust, fumes.

Description of Duties

Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: general cleaning and preparation of vehicles for service; the operation of out-of-service vehicles on or about the property; checking the cleanliness and serviceability of equipment and appurtenances of vehicles; and reporting of defective or non-serviceable conditions.

Description of Duties

The job involves all manner of inspection, preparation and completion of any type of work normally done in the department. Analyze defective, unserviceable or deteriorating conditions of units, parts and appurtenances, to determine the extent of needed adjustment, repairs and replacements. Examine, test, check and repair engines, injection pumps and nozzles. Perform all types of tool grinding and all manner of lay-out work, and set up and operate crankshaft, piston, valve grinders , doing work to specification tolerances. It consists of the giving of adequate instruction relative to any or all work performed in the department, the exercise of judgment relative to the discovery and reporting of unsafe and irregular conditions; and the protection of all Company property during job performance.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must have one years of formal training in electrical/electronic theory, including digital logic, analog logic, integrated circuitry, and CRT circuitry, and two years experience in the maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of modern electronic systems.
• Must be able to demonstrate a high level of skill in reading cable diagrams, wiring diagrams, and logic circuits, and schematics.
• To be an eligible candidate for the position, all candidates will be required to pass the Skills Test designated for the position.
• Employee must maintain a valid FCC Radio•Telephone License within 90 days from date of transfer.
• Employee must be able to possess and maintain a valid New York State Driver's License of the classification required by law for the type of vehicle(s) driven as part of an employee's normal job duties.
• Must be able to express ideas effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Must maintain an effective working relationship with supervisors and other employees.
• Must be able to wear and utilize all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Participation in the Bloodborne Pathogen Program is required.
