• Call your airline reservation number for flight update
• Get to the airport no less than 90 minutes before departure
• If leaving the country, know the laws of leaving/ entering U.S., as well as, destination country
• Carry unexposed film, medication, important papers in carry-on baggage
• No wrapped gifts in carry-on or checked baggage
• Limit your carry-on to one bag per person
• Non-ticketed persons are not allowed to go to the gates; say good-bye before arriving at airport
to lessen congestion in terminal
• Have ID and/or passport available at all times
• Do not place car keys and medication in checked baggage
• No lighters on your person or in carry-on baggage. No knives, or scissors with blades longer than four inches. Click here for the Transportation Security Adminstration's list of items prohibited from carry-on bags.
• Boots, platform shoes, footwear with thick soles or heels, and footwear containing metal are likely to require additional screening
• Do not wear heavy jewelry or remove before checkpoint
• Completely empty all your pockets (i.e.…change, cell phone, pager)
• Remove jackets, blazers, loose fitting outerwear before screening
• Remove computer from bag for inspection
