Not everything needs to be taxed
Flex spending for dependent care and medical expenses lets you set aside part of your pay check before taxes. Sign up no later than December 9, 2016 for the 2017 calendar year.
Independent Health administers the flexible spending accounts for the Authority.
For calendar year 2017 the maximum contribution for unreimbursed medical expenses is $2,600. For dependent care the maximum contribution is $5,000
